Is there a washing machine and a tumble dryer?

Is there a barbecue?

Is the holiday home suitable for families with children?

Yes. La Marisol is an excellent choice for families. The house offers three bedrooms, a fully enclosed private courtyard and plenty of space for up to six guests. Please note, however, that the spiral staircase and roof terrace require young children to be supervised.

Are pets allowed?

No. Unfortunately, pets are not permitted at La Marisol.

Is the back terrace private, or is it open to the neighbours?

The entire courtyard is private and not accessible by neighbours.
From Rue Lirette, you go through the blue entrance door through a separate corridor under the front house and enter the completely private and enclosed courtyard. This courtyard measures about 200 square metres. The courtyard is separated from the neighbouring properties by house walls or natural stone walls about 3 metres high. The actual entrance to the La Marisol holiday home is in the front part of the L-shaped courtyard. The seating area, the large sun loungers and an access to the summer kitchen are in the rear part.

Can you please confirm the size of the twin beds? Are they each 90 cm in the bedroom? The other bedrooms have each have 160 cm beds?

We have these bed-sizes in our 3 bedrooms:
1. Ventoux-Bedroom with access to rooftop terrace and bathroom ensuite: 1 bed, 160 Ã— 200 cm
2. Luberon-Bedroom: 1 bed, 160 Ã— 200 cm
3. Roussillon-Bedroom with access to rooftop terrace: 2 beds, 90 Ã— 200 cm each

My only concern is that I will need to do some work while there and a fast, reliable internet connection will be necessary.  Can you tell me if the house has wireless internet service and what speed?

Update June 2026: The internet connection is via a fibre-optic service and is generally very reliable. The in-house Wi-Fi is free of charge and the router is located in the living room. The television also uses this data connection. The speed is very fast (provided by SFR). Our own speed test in June 2026 showed download speeds of 100 Mbit/s and upload speeds of 60 Mbit/s.

Can you tell me if it is possible to have a meal in the shade in the garden?

Yes, it is possible to have your meal in the shade in La Marisol's garden. The garden is equipped with a complete summer kitchen (cooker, dishwasher, fridge) where you can prepare your food. Furthermore, the garden is shaped to offer shaded areas where you can enjoy your meals outside, out of the direct sun, especially during the hottest hours of the day.

Can you please explain the bathroom situation? I see a guest half bath on the first floor - toilet only? Do both upstairs bathrooms have toilets and one a shower, one a bath tub?

Yes, that's correct. On the first floor there is a guest WC with a toilet and a small washbasin. Upstairs there are two full bathrooms, each with its own toilet, washbasin and shower. The bathroom between bedrooms 2 and 3 has a bathtub with a rain shower head. Bedroom 1 has its own en-suite bathroom with a rain shower.

FAQ about the car park

Can you drive up to the house to unload our luggage?

On arrival, Kevin, our on-site manager, will meet you at the entrance to the Magasin Utile supermarket and show you to your private parking space.

Your private parking space is only about 250 m (approx. 3 minute walk) away. We therefore recommend travelling with luggage that rolls easily. The spiral staircase in the entrance area is also best navigated with medium-sized suitcases.

As Quai Rouget is occasionally a pedestrian zone, access to the house is restricted by the local police. On Sundays, access is generally not possible due to the weekly market taking place right outside the front door.

On departure, the barrier is usually open until around 11 am, so you can normally drive right up to the house to load your luggage (exceptions are market Sundays or special events).

Is the car park secured and access restricted?

Access to the car park is restricted by 2 barriers (please always insert your parking card, even if a barrier is open, otherwise it will be blocked). However, anyone can enter the car park on foot. We generally recommend not to leave anything in the car in the south of France, although we have never had any negative experiences ourselves.

Is parking available for two vehicles?

A secure parking space is available for our guests. If you need additional parking, there are several other parking options nearby, which may be subject to charges depending on the season. Please feel free to ask us in advance or upon arrival – our local manager will be happy to assist you.

Can you explain the parking spot? Will an SUV fit?

The parking space is of average European size. A normal-sized SUV or van will also fit there.

FAQs about payment and the deposit

How does the deposit work exactly? Is it charged to the credit card?

The deposit is made in the form of a pre-authorization on your credit card. A sum of money is reserved on your credit card for a certain period of time. Usually, there is no debit. This is only necessary if we have to access the deposit due to a claim. However, this does not apply to minor everyday mishaps such as a broken glass or similar. In these cases, we simply ask you to inform us so that we can provide full facilities for subsequent guests.

When is the deposit pre-authorised?

The pre-authorisation takes place on the day of your arrival via your credit card. This means that you do not have to pay a deposit in cash.
