Why is a French holiday home called La Marisol? Here you will find the answer!

La Marisol was most likely built in the 18th century, although an exact construction date can no longer be determined. It was almost certainly used for agricultural purposes in its early days, as evidenced by the old stone troughs still visible in the garden and on the ground floor — quiet reminders of a bygone era.
The present separate entrance was originally a large archway providing access to both the main house and La Marisol, then a courtyard dwelling, wide enough for horse-drawn carts. As Rue Lirette is no longer suitable for modern cars, the archway was later divided into two separate entrances. You may, however, briefly stop in front of the house to unload your luggage.
Behind the impressively thick natural stone walls, guests now enjoy contemporary 4-star comfort: a well-appointed kitchen, modern bathrooms and stylish living spaces that retain their historic character.
What stories might these old walls tell you? Experience the South of France and Provence in an authentic holiday home rich in history.
